EMERGENCY? CALL 911

South Sound 911 Executive Director Deborah Grady released this statement:

As reported in the media, South Sound 911’s Records department windows were broken during last night’s protests in downtown Tacoma. The department, occupied by records staff at the time of the vandalism, was relocated to another location where employees could safely continue operations.

As a vital partner for processing 911 calls in Pierce County and managing public safety records and public counter services, we remain resilient for our community and first responders.

We appreciate the community’s concern for South Sound 911 and our staff.
