Marlena Lybarger
Marlena Lybarger has been with South Sound 911 since May 2020 when she was hired as a Telecommunicator. With 14 years of administrative experience, she transitioned to Executive Assistant/Clerk of the Board in 2022. In 2025 Marlena promoted to Administrative Services Manager where she oversees the administrative division, along with community relations and 911 education.
Marlena has a bachelor’s degree in Business Management & Entrepreneurship from the Fashion Institute of Design and Merchandising in Los Angeles, Calif. Prior to a profession in 911, Marlena worked in Quality and Regulatory Affairs, Marketing, and spent many years in various organizations in the medical field.
Marlena was born and raised in central California, but relocated to Washington in 2018 to be closer to family. She and her husband, Ryan, live in Gig Harbor with their two children, Nash and Magnolia.
