Andrew E. Neiditz
Andrew Neiditz was appointed the first executive director of South Sound 911 in February 2013. He had served as Lakewood city manager for eight years from 2005 to 2013. Prior to that, he was the city administrator of Sumner from 1999 to 2005, and also served as Lakewood’s deputy city manager from 1996 to 1999. For Pierce County, he was executive director of public safety from 1993 to 1996 and deputy county executive from 1985 to 1993.
Andrew has a master’s degree in public administration from the University of Oregon and a bachelor’s degree from Stockton State College. He completed the Senior Executive Program in State/Local Government at the Kennedy School of Government at Harvard University.
Andrew was president of the Washington City/County Management Association (WCMA) in 2007-8, and was the West Coast Regional Vice-President for ICMA from 2010-13. He is a member of the Lakewood Rotary Club, and was previously president of the Rotary Club of Sumner, as well as a member of Tacoma Rotary #8 for 10 years.
Andrew was born in New York and has lived in the Puget Sound area since 1978. He and his wife Marie, a teacher, have a daughter and son, Nicole and Elliot.
