EMERGENCY? CALL 911

Embark on a fulfilling journey with South Sound 911’s innovative Volunteer Program, crafted for passionate community members dedicated to enhancing public safety countywide! By investing your time to help your community, you also become a key player helping to shape the future of South Sound 911.

Volunteers will be able to assist staff with clerical and daily tasks and/or special projects. And while volunteers are not eligible to answer 911 or non-emergency calls or dispatch aid, you can be assured that your work will help enhance the level of quality services the agency provides.

So that we may evaluate your interests and provide you with the best experience possible, potential volunteers should submit a Volunteer Application Form which can be returned to info@southsound911.org or mailed/delivered to South Sound 911, Attn: Community Relations Manager, 3580 Pacific Ave., Tacoma WA 98418.

While volunteer positions are currently limited, we’re committed to finding the right fit. After reviewing your application, eligible candidates will be invited for a brief interview and undergo fingerprinting for a background check. Clean backgrounds are a must for volunteer eligibility.
