South Sound 911’s new Volunteer Program was designed for interested and committed community members to help public safety countywide. By taking the time to participate in our programs, volunteers can help shape the future of South Sound 911.
Volunteers can assist staff with clerical tasks, outreach, and/or new programs, and will enhance the level of quality services the agency provides.
So that we may evaluate your interests and provide you with the best experience possible, potential volunteers should submit a Volunteer Application Form which can be returned to info@southsound911.org or mailed or delivered to South Sound 911; Attn: Community Relations; 3580 Pacific Avenue; Tacoma WA 98418. Forms are also available at our reception desk.
Volunteer positions are limited at this time, so after an application is reviewed, and if an assignment match is possible, the applicant will be invited to a brief interview, and will be fingerprinted for a background check. Applicants must have a clean background to be eligible for volunteer opportunities.
For additional information about the Volunteer Program, please see our Volunteer Handbook.
