South Sound 911's Employee Relations & Risk Management department is responsible for the agency's hiring, training, labor relations, and the management of employee records and FMLA and workers' compensation claims.

Employment Verification

Employment verification requests must include the employee's signed authorization. Please fax the signed authorization and verification of employment documents to 253-798-7874. Faxing is the preferred method, but you may also attach the documents and send by email. Please do not leave a voicemail message requesting a return call to verify employment. All faxed and email requests will be processed as soon as possible.

G.I. Bill

South Sound 911 employs former members of all branches of military service. Qualified employees may receive up to $981/month1 for the entire length of the 12-month training period.

1 Applies to entry-level dispatcher training. Contact the Department of Veterans Affairs or your reserve unit to determine eligibility.
